Longfor Group is committed to providing consumers with quality products and services. We combine digital tools with innovative approaches and consistently enhance the Group's smart customer service system. Moreover, we emphasize responsible marketing practices and prioritize customer safety, while assuring customers through our craftsmanship. Longfor Group, with the goal of "creating warm and bright nodes for urban youth," continuously advances the construction process of affordable housing. To date, Longfor Group's affordable rental housing has been implemented in about 20 cities including Beijing, Chongqing, and Tianjin, with a cumulative opening of over 60,000 units, providing affordable housing for low-income individuals and young people. By the end of 2023, more than 40,000 affordable housing units were rented out, and the rental income from affordable housing units in 2023 exceeded RMB800 million.

  • Longfor Group staunchly advocates the concept of green procurement and actively promotes the integration of sustainability into the supply chain. We utilize frameworks such as the Green Procurement Policy as a foundation for selecting environmentally responsible suppliers. Concurrently, we foster close collaboration with suppliers, engage in joint development initiatives within the procurement, and innovate products that are environmentally friendly, easy to manufacture, and devoid of harmful substance emissions, thus enhancing the overall sustainability of the supply chain.
  • Longfor Group adheres to pertinent laws and regulations, such as the Government Procurement Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Bidding Law of the People’s Republic of China. We have implemented a supplier lifecycle management system encompassing supplier entry, evaluation, grading, risk management, and exit procedures. Simultaneously, we prioritize the quality standards of supplier products and conduct annual assessments of both Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers. Furthermore, we strictly adhere to ethical procurement practices by signing Agreement on Integrity in Cooperation with all suppliers, including contractors.

Health and Safety

  • Safety Management System

    The Group has developed a Health and Safety Management Policy that encompasses all business segments, mandating compliance from all suppliers and contractors. Concurrently, a three-tier safety management system is established, delineating health and safety production management responsibilities across group, regional, and company project levels, and implementing a workplace safety accountability mechanism. Furthermore, a safety accident accountability system is enforced, correlating safety metrics such as major incidents, injuries, and fires with executive and employee compensation performance."

  • Safety Management Goal

    In 2022, to achieve controllable safety and eliminate safety management risks in the projects currently under construction, Longfor Group set the safety management goal: zero production safety accidents of average or above level within our responsibility; a 5 percent decrease in production safety accidents of the average or above level of related-party (including contractor) responsibility.
    The CEO of the group is responsible for managing and the ESG committee supervises the group's health and safety-related strategies and performance, as well as the progress of health and safety goals.

  • Safety Management

    The Group has devised a systematic and standardized safety management process to ensure the attainment of safety goals and mitigate project safety risks. This process involves delineating responsible parties, establishing safety management standards and requirements, conducting routine safety education sessions, convening safety meetings, and executing safety inspections. Through these measures, the entire process of construction safety is monitored and controlled.

  • Safety Training

    Longfor Group prioritized workplace safety training and conducted regular safety training sessions for all employees and contractors. The topics covered included electricity safety, fire safety, and safety management. Additionally, Longfor conducts workplace safety activities monthly, to provide safety warning education and safety emergency drills, and enhance the safe production awareness of all construction personnel.

  • Monitoring and Evaluation

    Longfor Group carries out regular safety inspections within the Company and to suppliers in line with the Engineering Third Party Inspection and Evaluation System 2023, focusing on safety management during the construction process. The inspection frequency adheres to the basic requirements of “once a week by projects, once a month by regional companies, once a quarter by the Group and twice a year by third-party inspections. These safety inspections encompass daily, monthly, and pre-holiday checks, inspections during the month of workplace safety as well as special inspections for fire safety and winter construction. This comprehensive approach allows us to promptly identify and address potential safety hazards, providing a guarantee for reducing safety risks.

  • Employee Training & Development

    Longfor Group has implemented a systematic and diverse employee training mechanism, devising tailored training programs for employees across various levels and scenarios. Talent development and talent team building are integrated to offer vocational training resources throughout every stage of each employee's career. In 2023, employee training hours across Longfor Group's entire network amounted to 1.75 million hours, marking a 7% increase from the previous year.
    Additionally, we emphasize the diversified growth of our employees and have devised a "Running Water" initiative to actively promote participation in cross-regional, cross-sector, and cross-functional activities, thereby expanding their perspectives and uncovering additional career development opportunities.

  • Employee Health

    Longfor Group complies with laws and regulations such as the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases and the Occupational Health Safety Management System Certification. We implement an employee health and safety management system across the entire Group, providing all employees with safety protection including annual medical check-ups, commercial insurance, access to exclusive online general practitioners, and workplace safety supplies to raise awareness of safety and occupational health. We conduct various
    health activities to cater to employees’ needs. Additionally, we provide the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), which prioritizes employees’ psychological health and offers professional counseling services.

  • Employee Communication

    Longfor Group respects the views of every employee and is dedicated to creating a convenient and efficient communication platform for all staff. We utilize the “Longfor BBS” internal forum as a platform for open communication, encouraging employees to express their work-related suggestions in a rational and constructive manner. Furthermore, we intensified the implementation of 1v1, 360 comprehensive assessment, frank talks forum, and other mechanisms to provide employees with richer and more convenient communication channels with their superiors.
    The Group conducts yearly satisfaction surveys and engagement surveys for all employees, addressing their practical concerns and improving their satisfaction. In 2023, Longfor Group achieved 100% employee participation in both satisfaction and engagement surveys, with satisfaction and engagement scores of 84% and 86%, respectively.
